Teamwork through internet advertising with TheFootballEducator.com

Football games are won and lost by teams, not individuals.  Victory requires the concerted efforts of players, coaches, trainers, administrators and fans.  Even the brightest star is limited by the player of his teammates.  Gridiron success requires hard work and teamwork.  That’s football.  And that’s life.

Criswell Freeman – The Wisdom of Southern Football

Sports is about relationships; those that you build over the years, those that come through mutual respect in competition, those forged through the highs and lows of building a team.  Many coaching staffs are the direct result of having worked together in other locales and venues, friendships built over late nights watching tape and devising game plans until wee hours in the morning.  Long bus rides home after devastating defeats hashing out what could have been, jubilant plane flights after triumphant victories in must win situations.

Oh, the possibilities

These tight bonds just can’t be replicated in any other form of business.  Or can they?  Having spent the past few months developing The Football Educator, I’ve gone through a bit of an education process myself.  This venture has allowed me to reach outside the normal realm of traditional football associations and find a whole new wealth of information, knowledge and know-how that can add immensely to our game.  There are businessmen, inventors, entrepreneurs, analysts, statisticians…you name it.  All dressed in the colors of their favorite teams and crazy fanatical for the players, coaches and the very energy that engulfs everything in and around the game of football.

People just plain want to be attached to any and all things football.  Many feel they can help with a new idea, a new product or a new concept that will enhance the safety of our players, increase the understanding of the tactics and improve the level of play on the field.  Many just want to build upon an already good thing by providing the fans with even more information about the players, coaches and performances each and every week.

You’ve got a friend

The Football Educator wants to be a part of this dynamic and continue to build upon those very relationships it has developed from the game of football.  The mutual benefits through internet advertising can be limitless.  With 20+ years in the business of college/professional football and some of the outstanding concepts/products that are out there, we can build a team that gives back to the fans, parents, young players, old veterans, agents, scouts, coaches and administrators (oh yeah, and the media).

Cast a broad net

Internet and online advertising partnerships are wide open.  So many opportunities await all of us in working together to promote our own niche in the bigger picture that is American Football.  As I look at the horizon and see where the game has come from and where it might be going, there are huge openings for improvement; leadership, equipment, health and safety, game planning, player preparation, crisis management, public relations, social media…the list goes on and on.

Let’s use our ingenuity and the creativity that got us to this point, with both the Football Educator and whatever venture you might be involved with.  Perhaps you’re struggling to be heard or to even get anybody to listen.  Perhaps you need the associated teamwork inherently tied in with a site like the Football Educator.  Or perhaps you have something to offer our site that could take us where we want to go in making the game of football (at every level) even better.

Strength through numbers

Relationships through Internet and online advertising will cut through the “noise” that is all over our industry.  It’s easy to find numerous sites and so called experts, but who do you trust and who’s got your blindside?  There are some “big boys” out there that control the information, products and opinion that disseminate to the fans and general public.  Having been on the inside and observing from the outside, it’s important to know who your teammates are.

These guys don’t associate with just anyone and to do so will cost you a pretty penny.

I know there are a lot of you out there that understand what I’m talking about.  Give me a holler and let’s see if we can’t put together a team we can both be proud of and fuse our talents through opportunities in internet advertising.

  1. Hello Ted,

As usual great stuff. I was wondering if it would be ok if i did a write up on my website Mockingthedraft about all the valuable information and knowledge you share about your past experiences as an NFL General Manager and involvement with other personnel departments. I believe our readers would enjoy learning how NFL scouts evaluate talent and the duties of front office personnel.
